Our Tie Guan Yin is from a tea farm that was awarded Silver Quality Award in the 2012 Cross-Strait (Liang An) Tea Competition. It also won the Gold Quality Award in the 2013 Anxi County Gande Town Autumn Roasted (nong xiang) Tie Guan Yin Tea Competition. In 2014, it won the Gold Award for the Central Shennong Light (qing xiang) Tie Guan Yin Tea Competition.

Jade Tie Guan Yin is a premium Oolong tea grown in Anxi, a region in the province of Fujian in Southwest China. The Oolong leaves are shaped in loose balls, their color green as emerald. A highly aromatic tea with velvety texture and pure distinctive flavor, this type of tea ranks among one of the most expensive tea in the world.
Origin
Tie Guan Yin is a Chinese oolong tea from Anxi in Fujian province. This region is humid, lush with mountainous terrain and rich soil which is ideal to produce this outstanding tea. According to legend, Emperor Qian Long (1711 – 1799) was impressed with the tea’s “weight of iron and appearance of Guan Yin”, hence the name Tie Guan Yin, Iron Guan Yin.
